![]() Happy Tails Pet Rescue is a small non-profit, no-kill rescue organization in Massachusetts and New Hampshire run entirely by dedicated volunteers who have joined together to save unwanted and abandoned cats. We also accept surrenders from families who can no longer care for their pets, and work with other rescues to accept animals from hoarding and closed MA and NH animal rescue and breeding operations. We were founded to take in animals from other rescues and shelters who were going to be euthanized as a result of behavior problems, overpopulated shelters, or financial burden. Many of our services are open to all residents of NH, with a focus on the local communities of Amherst, Auburn, Bedford, Brookline, Candia, Dunbarton, Francestown, Goffstown, Hollis, Hooksett, Litchfield, Londonderry, Lyndeborough, Manchester, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, New Boston, Peterborough, Wilton, and Windham.ĪRLNH receives no state or federal funding and is almost entirely dependent upon donations. To help people who love their pets, but are currently struggling to care for them, ARLNH offers community outreach programs, such as a Pet Food Pantry and Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinics. In 1998, we opened our new facility in Bedford.īeing more than a shelter, ARLNH also employs one of only three shelter-based Animal Cruelty Investigators in the state. ![]() In 1942, ARLNH’s first shelter facility was opened in Goffstown in a renovated home. The ARLNH was founded in 1902 and incorporated in 1904. The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps more than 2,200 cats, dogs, and small animals each year. ![]() The Animal Rescue League of NH improves animal welfare in our communities by helping pets and the people who care for them. THIRD: To offer a safe and well suited environment for dogs within our community to play, practice socialization skills and improve overall behavior.įOURTH: To work with our communities to raise awareness about the misconceptions of bully type breeds and rescue dogs, the challenges associated with rescue work, and the many ways individuals can support dogs in need. SECOND: To reduce adoption return and failure rates by implementing a thorough adopter evaluation process, which includes ensuring a strong human/dog match, adopter education and adoption integration plans. Second Chance Ranch is focused on finding the right match between you and our dogs and will invest all the time and effort needed to do so.įIRST: To rehabilitate and give a second chance to lost, forgotten, or misunderstood dogs in order to help them find their furever home. At the Ranch, all of our dogs receive conditioning, love, socialization, and basic training to help develop their skills, confidence and capabilities while they wait for their forever home.
